I'm a 50yo female who really wanted this education growing up in the USA. 1970s Hawaii actually taught age-appropriate ed from body parts to puberty to sex ed. Then my family moved to California where "sex ed" was reserved for high school seniors (12th grade = 17/18yo) WITH child care on campus. Good for having child care at all but education a tad late. I've learned that the people most against sex ed are the ones who REFUSE to properly educate their kids leaving said kids to figure it out on their own...then getting enraged at those kids for consequences the parents themselves created. That's just insane.
A joyous THANK YOU to Cindy Gallop's team for the long hard work bringing this Academy into being. I've just become a member. I want everyone to be educated about responsible sex from a safe and accessible website.
I love the Exploring As: Role/Age filter at the top making the search easy. Krista White's: Consent is Mandatory and Benjamin Dunk's: Intimacy Guide for Young Men About Sex is EXACTLY the info that needs to get out there.
I look forward to seeing this Academy becoming The Source for global sex ed.
